Being sick in college is just about the worst thing you can experience as a twenty-something year old. You’ve found this freedom and you’re on your own, but all you really want when you’re sick, no matter how old you are, is your mom. Now you have to make your own soup, buy your own medication, and decide if you’re sick enough to miss class. We’ve all been there, and we know exactly how you’re feeling.
You can feel the illness coming on and you try to ignore it and put a smile on your face
Even the weekend can’t snap you out of it
You finally make the decision to go to class and the rest of the class is sniffling and coughing
No one can even tell if you’re sick because you live in sweatpants anyway
Campus restrooms are no fun when you’re battling the stomach flu
You begin to struggle to go on with your day
When you get home, your energy has been spent
You’re sad and alone because your roommates have quarantined you
You try to get your homework done, but you succumb to the Netflix coma
Â
At that point, not even Netflix can keep you awake, and you give in to your sickness
Don’t worry, you’ll be back to your old self in no time!
