We all know how much of a stud Leonardo DiCaprio is. We also know that he leaves a trail of broken hearts wherever he goes. Despite his good looks and money, he still doesn’t have one thing: an Oscar. I could tell you about all of the other awards that he hasn’t won, but let’s be real, the Oscar’s are more important than anything else.
The first movie that Leo didn’t win an Oscar for was in 1994 for the movie What’s Eating Gilbert Grape? Unfortunately, Tommy Lee Jones got the award for his role in The Fugitive instead.
After more than a decade he had become a well renowned actor for his roles in Titanic, Catch Me If You Can, and Gangs of New York. In 2005, he was nominated for his role in The Aviator, but sadly lost this award to Jamie Foxx for his role in Ray.
Two years had now passed and in 2007 he was nominated for his role in Blood Diamond, he lost this award to Forest Whitaker for his role Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
It took seven years but he FINALLY got nominated for another Oscar. Would he get the award this year for his role in The Wolf of Wall Street? Nope, he lost once again to Matthew McConaughey for his role in Dallas Buyers Club.
As we wait for the 2016 Oscars, will Leo once again be crushed by one of the other actors in his category? Watch the Oscars Sunday, February 28th and find out.
