Alcoholic Beverages to Match Your Summer Sunshine Feels

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Winona chapter.

Since I have turned 21, I have tried a few drinks. Some have been delicious while others have been atrocious. Nonetheless, I have gathered a few of my favorite drink recipes and decided to share them with you. Be sure to click the links for the full ingredient list and directions.

Classic Mai Tai: This drink offers a fruity and spicy twist that will leave you dangerously wanting more.

Perfect Strawberry Daiquiri: This drink consists of only three ingredients which are limes, strawberries, and rum. Also, It takes less than ten minutes to prepare!

Rum Sunset: Personally, this Rum Sunset puts a Tequila Sunrise to shame.

Mermaid Lemonade: This one is easy and yields more with one recipe than some of the others do. This is for you if you prefer more lemon-flavored drinks.

Hurricane: Just like the force of nature it is named after, this drink can pack a punch. It combines light rum and dark rum along with the other fruity flavors to flood your tastebuds.

Blueberry Lemonade Margaritas: The perfect combination between blueberry and lemon, this drink will leave you wanting more, but remember to drink responsibly.

Spiked Pink Lemonade: This is a recipe from my own kitchen, so it is really simple! Combine two ounces of New Amsterdam Pink Whitney, one cup of Pink Lemonade, and a handful of Trolli’s Sour Brite Very Berry Gummy Worms. Mix. Enjoy.

Sweet Tooth: This is another one that I mixed myself. Combine four ounces of UV Blue Vodka, two ounces of Blue Curacao, two cups of lemonade, a handful of Sour Patch Kids (or Original Trolli’s Sour Brite), and one container of Baby Bottle Pop Blue Raspberry sugar. Your lips will pucker, but the taste of alcohol is miniscule. Remember to brush your teeth after drinking this one.

Drink responsibly and have fun!
