Jackets are an obvious essential when living in a climate as freezing as Canada. They’re the barriers that keep our bodies warm in the varying degrees of winter, yet also play an undervalued role by being the outerwear piece that blankets our entire outfit. The winter jacket is inevitably the “first impression” piece of our look despite the careful deliberation put into crafting the outfit hidden beneath it. Since this layered coverage is obligatory in the cold winter months, it’s acceptable to own a variety of jackets in terms of colour, warmth and style that are effortless to throw on top of any outfit!

This is another essential coat in my opinion. This coat can come in a variety of styles and colours: black is versatile, camel is timeless, and light grey is currently super on trend- take your pick!

The oversized jacket with shearling details is all over Instagram this season and we are loving it’s chic, fashionista vibe! Steal your style directly from the feeds of fashion bloggers everywhere and give this trend a try this winter.
6. Winter Parka
This coat is an obvious essential and the most practical option for all Collegiettes trekking to campus during the winter. As much as we hate covering our outfits with a puffy layer, you will thank yourself later when you’re walking to class completely comfortable and warm! Try to find a parka that cinches at the waist to avoid drowning in the thick fabric. Also, a lined hood is always amazing to shield the winter winds.
