It’s the 21st century and there are still stereotypes surrounding individuals who have sex outside of a relationship or some form of commitment. Why? Who the hell knows. I’m here to tell you a few reasons that casual sex is okay, and why there is absolutely no need for judgment!

It’s fun

Sex is great and it is also a very natural thing to do. So who cares that you aren’t dating that person? Live in the moment and make fun choices. Your haters are the ones who are losing out!

No commitment

There are so many people that don’t want to be in relationships, and know that they are not at that point in their lives, but why does that have to mean that you can’t have sex? Casual sex is the perfect way to fulfill the desire without having to be tied down.

Freedom to try new things

Many have certain sexual fantasies that they are scared many will judge them for. Having sex with someone that you’re more than likely never going to see again can give you the sexual freedom to speak up about your wants and needs!

Rebounds are definitely a thing

Sometimes you just have to get it out of your system. The whole “to get over someone get under another” definitely happens. And you know what? Own it.

The dry spell

For those who don’t know, the “dry spell” is going a prolonged period of time without having a sexual encounter, and let me tell ya, it is not fun. Know what can fix that? Casual sex. If that is something you’re comfortable with doing, then go for it! Get out of that rut and take that boy home from the bar.

Who the hell cares?

Tell everyone. Tell no one. It’s your choice. Love yourself and love sex.

Lastly, it’s your body!

I don’t know why people still feel the need to chime in on a decision that literally has no effect on them, so zip it. It’s your body, do what you want, when you want to! If you want to have sex, have sex. If you don’t, then don’t. It is really as simple as that!
