Lately, I have been nostalgic for the Barbie movies that I used to watch when I was younger. After re-watching some of these movies, I realized how underrated Barbie movies are. These movies are cinematic masterpieces. The storylines were developed thoroughly, the animation was beautifully executed and the messages were always positive for their young female audience. These movies had a considerable impact on my childhood, as I’m sure they did for others. In this article, I will be listing which Barbie character you are based on your zodiac sign. Since Her Campus is a 100% female publication, I will be comparing the characters to the personalities of each Zodiac woman. I would also like to emphasize that I am not an astrologer, so please don’t take this literally. This is just for entertainment, so I hope you can relate!
Aries: Barbie (Barbie in A Fashion Fairytale)
Aries is one of the fire signs. These ladies are driven, determined and born leaders, who are willing to take risks. They have an impeccable sense of style, just like Barbie in A Fashion Fairytale. Aries women are bold and ambitious enough to dive headfirst into the most challenging situations. In A Fashion Fairytale, Barbie doesn’t hesitate to help her Aunt Millicent save her failing business. Aries ladies know the value they have to offer. Barbie embodies these personality traits as she remains confident throughout the film. She also inspires her new friends Marie-Alecia to share her talents in fashion design, and make her dreams come true. Just make sure to give yourself a break once in a while, because you might burn out from being such a fiery inspiration!
Taurus: Princess Rosella (Barbie in the Island Princess)
It’s not surprising that this Earth sign is down to Earth and prefers to live and simple and comfortable life, without the glitz and glam. These ladies enjoy being a part of a team and always have the best interest for those around them. They want to make sure their needs and the needs of others are met. Princess Rosella can be compared to a Taurus woman as she is a loyal and loving girl who is always looking out for her friends. Similar to a Libra, Elena is often made fun of for being a winged-less fairy. Instead of retaliating, she remains calm and determined to defeat Laverna. Elena is friendly, brave and strong, guiding the way for her fairy and mermaid friends. She always has hope and in difficult times, she comes up with great ideas. Scorpio is one of the most misunderstood signs of the zodiac signs due to their intensity and tendency to be harsh. Scorpios can be stubborn but very passionate and powerful. They derive from strength and are willing to fight for the ones they love, which is not a surprise since they are fire signs. Similar to Princess Annika, they are brave, optimistic and hopeful. You don’t want to mess with these women because they are determined to fight until the end. Rapunzel remains patient with Gothel and hardly ever complains. Despite how she was treated, Rapunzel forgives Gothel for her behaviour, allowing her to find closure with her abusive past. Stay in touch with your emotions, express your creativity and always believe in yourself.
Pisces: Odette (Barbie in Swan Lake)
Pisces women are known to absorb every lesson taught in life. Their strong imagination and reputation as dreamers can help them pursue their artistic passions. Pisces women resemble Odette, as she is generous and empathetic. Odette is shy and unsure of herself at first, which is why she hands back the magic crystal to the Fairy Queen. However, she discovers her inner confidence and reflects her selflessness through her bravery and concern for her friends in the Enchanted Forest. She doesn’t hesitate to save Prince Daniel when Rothbart attacks him. In the end, Odette breaks Rothbart’s spell and learns that she is braver than she thinks.
