Three Jewelry Pieces to Start the New Year With

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wilfrid Laurier chapter.

It’s a New Year and what’s more perfect than starting a new you! Spice up your outfits with some of these sparkly pieces to bring a wow factor to even the most simple of outfits.

Simple stud earrings:

I think that simple, dainty stud earrings are perfect for everyday wear. It dresses things up, with minimal effort. I have very sensitive ears, so I have to wear earrings that are really good quality or else my ears get bothered. If you have this problem too, I have found that Swarovski earrings and Pandora earrings are great, and do not bother my ears. Hopefully they work for you too! I have the Swarovski “Angelic” stud earrings (which I wear religiously) and, as of Christmas, I have the Pandora stud earrings, and they have been great!

Statement necklace:

I am just flat out obsessed with statement necklaces, and it seems a lot of people are too! The great thing about statement necklaces is that they jazz up even the simplest of outfits. When going on short trips, I like to pack a couple different statement necklaces so that even if I happen to wear the same shirt a couple of times on that trip, the necklace makes it look different every time. It’s basically like a whole other piece of clothing in itself! Statement necklaces are big, bold, and beautiful! I just adore them.

Charm bracelets:

Charm bracelets not only look great on your wrist, but they’re special because you can add charms to remind you of certain moments and memories in your life. I have a Pandora bracelet, and I get charms for certain holidays, and charms that mean something to me in my life. This Christmas, I received a “family” charm that I love. It’s a new year, tons of things are going to happen, and you can collect charms along the way to remind you of these moments in your life! Come 2016, you can look down at your charm bracelet, see all the charms you have collected, and reflect on what each of them mean to you.
