With Halloween almost here, trying to find the perfect costume can be tough. With so many current trends and TV shows coming out in the past year, there’s no doubt that there will be some costumes that we’ll see a lot of this Halloween. Here’s what I think some of the most anticipated Halloween costumes will be for Halloween of 2021.
Squid Game
Ah, Squid Game. I don’t know about you, but I loved Squid Game. It was so shocking and chaotic, but I also fell in love with some of the characters (and hated some of them). It’s a great show that so many people love and if you haven’t seen it yet, I wholeheartedly recommend it. I’ve already started to hear some buzz on social media and among my friends, surrounding Squid Game Halloween costumes. Whether we see numbered green tracksuits or red jumpsuits with shape masks, there’s no doubt that Squid Game costumes will be all over the place this Halloween.
Olivia Rodrigo
In May, Olivia Rodrigo dropped her debut album SOUR which included bangers such as brutal and good 4 u. She also released driver’s license in January of 2021. It’s safe to say that 2021 has been a successful year for her. I think that this year, there will be a lot of costumes inspired by Olivia Rodrigo and her music. Whether just a typical outfit that looks like her or a specific costume that reflects something she wore in a music video (I can sense some good 4 u costumes already), Olivia will be a theme this Halloween and I’m living for it.
Marvel Characters
This year has also been huge for Marvel, with Wandavision coming out in February and two movies releasing over the summer (Shang Chi and Black Widow). All of these are bound to inspire all kinds of fun and creative costumes this October. The best part about these costume ideas is that you can make a group costume out of all of them! You could spice things up this year by teaming up with your bestie to become Wanda and Agathaor Natasha and Yelena. I’m really looking forward to seeing lots of Marvel-inspired Halloween costumes in the next couple of weeks.
Among Us
Finally, there will be tons of Among Us costumes this Halloween. Among Us became quite popular last year during quarantine, but with an updated map and other new features in the game, it’s maintained its popularity. I’ve already heard lots of people talking about Among Us blow-up costumes, where you slip the costume on and then use a pump to inflate air into it. Making your costume expand to become super round and cartoonlike is as realistic as Among Us can get. This will be a fun one for people of all ages, ranging from kids and teenagers to adults!
Even though there will be a lot of easily anticipated costumes this Halloween, I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with. This Halloween will be a Halloween like no other, with all kinds of crazy and unique costumes. Have a very spooky Halloween everyone!
