A Text Makes Me Holla, Honey Boo Boo

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wilfrid Laurier chapter.

We all have that one friend (or friends) who we absolutely hate texting, but for some reason continue to text them. They either never respond to you, or never leave you alone. I tend to be the person who never leaves anyone alone, so I personally don’t really think it’s a bad thing. With the help of my friends from Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, I’ve compiled a list of common struggles that occur when dealing with someone who is bad at texting.

You’ve been waiting hours for a response, so you respond almost immediately.

The person you’re texting is active on social media, but isn’t replying to your texts.

There’s nothing worse than someone who doesn’t use emojis.

Typing out paragraphs, only to receive a one-word answer.

Or asking 5 questions, and they only answer one.

You send a message in the group chat, but they don’t respond.

Checking your phone every 5 seconds to see if they’ve read your message yet…

…Only to see that they’ve read it, but didn’t respond.

And when they don’t respond, you’re left thinking about every possible reason as to why they haven’t responded.

And finally, receiving the “sorry my phone died” text.

There you have it, Collegiettes, my passive-aggressive response to all of the responses I never got. Here’s to hoping people get better at texting!

I'm a lover of all things pop culture. By pop culture, I mean McDonald's and rap music. Also dogs. I love dogs.
