Summer’s Best Glow, in a Bottle

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wilfrid Laurier chapter.

It’s a known fact that most people’s favorite beauty product is bronzer, but isn’t it a pain when your face doesn’t match your neck or body? Well luckily, Benefit has targeted our need for body bronzer and just released Hoola for the body!

This product is essentially a self tanner that comes off after one wash, but literally doesn’t budge until you hit the shower. It comes in a squeezy bottle and is 5.0 Fl Oz. for $39. It has a sponge applicator built-in, and it is essentially fool proof. I actually used my hands when applying to my legs due to the larger surface area and it is 100% buildable.

The best part: IT DOESN’T HAVE THE FAKE TANNER SMELL! For all my friends who use St. Tropez, Vita Liberata, or Jergens Natural Glow, you know what smell I’m talking about. This product claims to have no color transfer at all, so obviously I put it to the test. I wore a tight white tank top to the bar, and when I got home that night, there was nothing on my clothes. I even slept in my white sheets, NO TRANSFER. This product literally didn’t budge until water hit my skin.

Above is a photo of the product tested on my arm. The swatch on the left is two coats of the product, and the swatch on the right is one coat. This product is extremely buildable to get your desired colour.

Would I recommend this product? 110% YES! This product is a lot safer and healthier for you than spray tanning and laying in the beds because it doesn’t fully absorb into the skin, just sits on top. So, for those of you who love to be tanned and decide to go out last minute and don’t have the 8 hours for your overnight self-tanner, this product is about to become your best friend.

Wilfrid Laurier

You will typically see me with a large cup of tea and browsing social media under the fairy lights and reading up on my favourite lady bosses (Mindy Kaling let me be you please). Also my trivia regarding superheroes is endless. I have more music than time to listen to and someone definitely should consider taking away my blogging privileges. My love for pop culture is limitless and Netflix is the true MVP in my opinion. Contributor writer for HerCampus Laurier Stalk me and let's be friends here: Insta & Twitter: webofem
