St. Patrick’s Day is fast-approaching, and you’re probably wondering what to wear (I am too). I wish that I could help you, but that’s not my area of expertise. I’m that “attacking the aux cord” girl, so I’m back at it again with more song suggestions for your party playlist. Whether you’re throwing a party, hosting a pre, or just need some music to get you in the mood, I’ve compiled a few party anthems (new and old) and St. Patrick’s Day related songs to add to your playlist to help you make the most of your March 17th this year!
1. “Irish Celebration (P Smoov Remix)” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
We are literally celebrating the Irish.
2. “Wasted (feat. Matthew Koma)” by Tiesto
Cheers to getting drunk off of green beers (or whatever it is that you’re drinking.)!
3. “Work (feat. Drake)” by Rihanna
If you’re not sick of this song yet, add it to your playlist. Realistically this song is the closest we’ll all get to doing work on St. Patrick’s Day.
4. “Get Lucky (feat. Pharrell Williams) [Dirtino Remix]” by Daft Punk
Not only Irish people can get lucky on St. Patrick’s Day (if you know what I mean).
5. “I Took A Pill in Ibiza (SeeB Remix)” by Mike Posner
It’s kind of a new song, and kind of playlist worthy.
6. “I Love College (Nedu Remix)” by Asher Roth
I don’t think this song will ever get old. This is the coolest remix of “I Love College” that you’ll ever hear.
7. “Boom (feat. Ty Dolla $ign, Wizkid, & Kranium)” by Major Lazer & MOTi
Filler song, for when you want a break from St. Patrick’s Day related songs.
8. “Shots” by LMFAO
New drinking game: take a shot every time you hear the word “shots” in this song.
9. “Young & Stupid (feat. T.I.)” by Travis Mills
I-rish this song had something to do with St. Patrick’s Day, but it’s just a party song that I found.
10. “Collard Greens (feat. Kendrick Lamar)” by Schoolboy Q
A green song to complement your green outfit.
11. “No Luck” by Tyga
Tyga’s not Irish, but he mentions “luck” a lot in this song, so that’s close enough for me.
12. “2 On (feat. Drake & Schoolboy Q)” by Tinashe
This one’s an oldie, but definitely a goodie. It always seems to be a people pleaser.
13. “Gold Digger (feat. Jamie Foxx)” by Kanye West
To help you keep digging (or drinking) until you find that pot of gold.
14. “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (feat. Q Tip & Goon Rock)” by Fergie
Another year, another party on Ezra.
15. “Damn Daniel (Bombs Away Remix)” by Unknown Artist
I added this one because our timelines are going to be flooded with St. Patrick’s Day pictures, with “Back at it again on Ezra” captions.
16. “The Boys Are Back in Town (K’no Remix)” by Thin Lizzy
Since we’re celebrating the Irish, here’s a song by an Irish band. Also, I know all of your boys (and girls) will be back in town for St. Patrick’s Day!
