On this day of solemn contemplation and gratitude, I took a walk through Veteran’s Green, admiring the flowers left by other visitors and reflecting on the sacrifice that countless men and women made for our beautiful country. When you pin your poppy to your lapel today, take a moment to remember all of those who have served and are currently serving our country. We thank you for your service and your sacrifice.
