My Favourite Starbucks Drinks That You Need to Try

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wilfrid Laurier chapter.

I have been a Starbucks lover for quite some time now, and over the years, I have tried some not-so-great options on their menu. Despite the fact that others may love certain drinks, like the green tea frappe or the “pink drink,” they are just not for me. For all my coffee lovers out there and people with a sweet tooth, I have got you covered with my top five favourite drinks from Starbucks! Keep on reading to find out what you should try next!

The Java-Chip Frappuccino

This icy drink is one that many of my friends were unfamiliar with until I told them they needed to branch out and try it! This has been my all-time favourite since I started drinking coffee back in high school. The drink is a blend of mocha and frappuccino chips with coffee, milk and ice. Of course, it wouldn’t be a frappuccino without toppings, so it is finished with whipped cream and mocha drizzle on top! This is one of those drinks that are perfect for the summertime!

Mango Dragon Fruit Refresher with Peach Juice

If you love peach and fruity flavors, this is my next favourite that my boyfriend and I randomly came across. The original mango dragon fruit refresher has a mix of lemonade, mango, water (even though it is not listed, I have seen them put water in my drinks) and dragon fruit flavours. It is mixed with ice and dragon fruit chunks. Order your normal mango dragon fruit drink but ask them to substitute the water for peach juice. This is a go-to almost every time I visit Starbucks; it is so delicious and fruity.

Iced Vanilla Latte

For all my coffee lovers out there, lattes are my favourite! This one has the perfect amount of sweetness and coffee flavours that are perfect for a day-on-the-go, or even just something yummy in place of a boring plain coffee in the morning. This drink is a mix of ice, milk, fresh espresso and vanilla syrup. To me, this drink resembles a caramel macchiato, one of my favourites as well, but without the caramel drizzle.

Salted-Caramel Mocha

This has got to be just about my favourite drink from Starbucks because of the salty-sweet taste! This drink combines mocha and toffee nut syrup with coffee and steamed milk. It is finished with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, turbinado sugar and sea salt. It seems pretty straight-forward, but if you love salted caramel, you’ll be hooked on this for sure! I have yet to try it iced because I love the hot version so much. I guess I will have to take a trip to Starbucks soon!

Pumpkin Spice Anything!

We all know that pumpkin spice season at Starbucks will forever be iconic and a brand essential for the business, but I still can’t help but be obsessed. As fall happens to be the best season, in my opinion, I am a sucker for the classic pumpkin spiced latte. The drink is a combination of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove mixed with steamed milk and fresh espresso. Finally, it is topped with whipped cream and pumpkin pie crumble. I think we can all agree that the pumpkin loaf is also incredible, so good one Starbucks!
