Meet Manjot! The first male edition to our Laurier Style Watch family! The first time I met Manjot I instantly felt his fashionable edge in the room. He is always dressed on point with his sleek style and perfectly kept hair. He is a burst of energy which will always put a smile on your face. Come read Manjot’s style story:
What sparked your interest in fashion?
I would say from my parents. When I was younger, they would always tell me to look presentable and chose what I would wear that day. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve begun developing my own style and choosing a look I want to emulate.
Are there any types of clothing that you avoid wearing?
With a skinny body frame, I tend to wear slimmer silhouettes. Pants that are tapered slim, or slim straight just don’t make the cut. I also avoid colours that I feel don’t work with my skin tone like orange, yellows, and bright greens.
Who is your favourite designer and why?
I don’t have one. I don’t think I’m knowledgeable enough to make conclusions about who my favourite designer would be. I’m not usually surround by high fashion and so most of my inspiration comes from people around me, and looks I see online
Where do you get your fashion inspiration?
I do a lot of web browsing, and online window-shopping. I probably have six shopping carts filled with clothes I’m hoping will go on sale soon. Another form I use to get inspiration from is through YouTube. Pictures can only go so far, so I usually look for up-and-coming YouTubers to take inspiration from.
Following popular Instagram influencers, and sifting through my explore page usually helps to find different ways I can put outfits together from pieces I already have. Usually I have a few pieces I just don’t know what to do with so they sit in my closet until I find a similar outfit online that I can take inspiration from.
I’m always trying to push myself when it comes to fashion choices. Currently, I’m looking to move into a consistent business casual wardrobe.
