Five Easy and Delicious Soup Recipes That Will Make You Wanna Throw a Soup Party

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wilfrid Laurier chapter.

Soup. What is soup? Well, soup is by far the most comforting food there is … besides maybe bread. But what goes better with soup than bread?

But, anyways, back to soup: It’s warm, delicious, drinkable and packed with flavour. What’s not to love?

I’m mean just look at it!

It’s perfect for so many occasions …

When its cold you can snuggle up in a sweater and a hot bowl-o’-soup:

When you wanna have a nice night in, all by your lonesome … soup will be there:

And when you wanna comfort someone you love, what do you bring them? Soup.

So when you have an itching for the good stuff, what should you do?

Well, I’ve got some D E L I C I O U S and easy soup recipes for the fall and will have you falling in love with soup all over again!

1.Good Ol’Fashioned Chicken Noodle

The most comforting of soups, Chicken Noodle is like the Dame Helen Mirren of soups: strong, sturdy, AMAZING at what it does and adaptable to any variations you want to throw at it. Whether it’s a vegetarian twist, gluten free or you wanna make it a little spicy — this noodle soup has got a great base and will keep you coming back for more!

2. Butternut Squash and Coconut Soup

Want something classic with a fun twist? Something that’ll impress your friends with your creativity? This is the soup for you! Like the Anna Kendrick of soups, it might seem a little basic but she’s got something up her sleeve.

3. Roasted Red Pepper Soup

When you have a hot date, why not spice it up with some hot soup? Make it as spicy as you want it and put your boo to the test — can they handle the heat? I’d say this is the Mila Kunis of soups; she’s cool and pretty relaxed, nothing too crazy, but we all know she can really bring it.

4. Black Bean Tortilla Soup

Now this. This is the Beyoncé of soups. Good southern TexMex soup with a real kick. It’s vegan, as we all know Queen B is, so you can pretend you’re sharing the soup with her (the dream, right?). You know this soup doesn’t come to play and if you can’t handle the soup, all we can say is “boy, bye ??.”  But if you can, well then we might just have to go to Red Lobster after ??‍♀️.

5. Fall Vegetable and Quinoa Soup

We all know that the fall is full of heavy drinking and partying. We’re back at school, we’ve got hoco and Halloween and our parents aren’t around to cook for us. So, at some point we gotta get our sh*t together and make some adult decisions. This soup, this is the one. Basically the Gwyneth Paltrow of soups — it’s got quinoa and kale, a sure thing to get you all balanced and feeling good for the semester ahead.

So now that you’ve got some CHOICE recipes and some female celebrity inspo, go and make soup!
