Campus Cutie: Emily Litvak

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wilfrid Laurier chapter.

Introducing our Campus Cutie, Emily Litvak! This winter chick is a kind, fun-loving, Laurier party-girl, who is a golden friend and no stranger to the slopes. Here’s at least one person on campus that is excited that the snow has finally decided to show.

Relationship Status: Single

Year: ThirdMajor: CommunicationsHometown: Thornhill, Ontario

Are you a summer girl or a winter girl?

Definitely a winter girl!

Favourite sport:

Snowboarding.

Favourite Christmas drink:

A grande peppermint hot chocolate, hold the whipped cream, from Starbucks or eggnog… spiked… definitely spiked.

Favourite nightclub:

PHIL’S! That place is my second home!

What’s your pre-game jam?

My roommates know that when they need to convince me to go out, they can blast Candy Shop as loud as possible!

Your favourite Disney Sidekick:

Forget sidekick! I’m in love with Shang! Move over Mulan, you’ve got some competition!

If you could get with any celebrity, who would it be?

Ryan Reynolds, no questions asked!

What’s the worst pick-up line you’ve ever heard?

I want to paint you green and spank you like a disobedient avocado … Not sure what that means, all I know is that it definitely didn’t work!

What are you attracted to in other people?

Tattoos, piercings, motorcycles, you name it… Basically anything my dad would hate. Also, pretty much any guy here at Laurier; you are all beautiful people!

What’s one kind of guy you now stay away from?

I’ve learned the hard way that brothers’ best friends are off limits!

Where was your first date?

Sushi… Worst decision ever! Note to self: shoving rolls of raw fish into ones mouth is never seductive.

What is the best date you’ve ever been on?

I have an obsession with the Blue Jays. Actually, just baseball in general. So the best date I’ve been on was when this guy took me to a Jay’s game. It was really cute! We had the traditional hotdog and a beer and he was really easy to talk to, but the best part of that day was when he caught a ball for me! Still have the ball, don’t have the boy!

Share with us a Laurier Memory:

Remember three years ago when there was that huge snowstorm, and all of the schools were shut down for a day? Yeah, well that’s been my best Laurier memory so far! I felt like I was back in elementary school: playing in the snow, building forts, and freezing our butts off! It was pretty funny to see a bunch of twenty-something-year-olds having classic snowball fights!

What do you think about most? The past, present or future?

I try my best to think about and live in the now. Most of the time, if the future comes up, I’m thinking, “Where am I going this Friday?”

How are you different from your high school self?

Emily in high school and the girl I am today are two very different people. I used to be the girl who would say, “When will I ever need to know this!?” Now I actually enjoy reading my textbooks and listening to lectures! High school me went to class because she was forced to, but I’m here at Laurier because I choose to be. I have become more independent and have matured in ways that still surprise me, nobody would have thought that I would do my laundry (once a month) and cook myself dinner! The only thing that hasn’t changed is my relationship with my dad; I still call him like 3 times a day.

If you see this girl at Phil’s or running to class, make sure to shoot her a smile.
