It’s finally the most perfect time of the year! The fall season is here at last and you know what that means, it’s time to hit up a farm. Whether you’ll be picking apples, taking cute pics for Instagram or choosing the perfect pumpkin to take home, there are so many lovable farms to venture through this season. Here’s a list of five wonderful farms you absolutely need to visit!

pine orchards farm (2700 16th side road, king, On)

Pine Orchards Farm is a charming little farm tucked away in King City. With the delicious bakeshop, the homey café and opportunities to pick your own apples, it’s a trip you simply can’t pass up! The shorter apple trees are perfect for kids to pick their own apples. This family-owned farm is perfect for fall photos, especially with their hundreds of gorgeous apple trees and their set-up of perfect pumpkins. My personal favourite at Pine Orchards is the bakeshop that is stocked with freshly baked goodies all year round. Be sure to grab a fresh pumpkin pie and take a stroll through the acres of enchanting apple trees!

riverdale farm (201 winchester street, Toronto, On)

Riverdale Farm is located right in the hustle and bustle of downtown Toronto, but don’t let that undermine the serene trails and cute farm animals. Riverdale Farm is the perfect escape from the city for those who don’t want to travel far. The kilometres of green space and stunning trails guide you past the many farm animals including sheep, cows and horses. As well, you can tour the farm and explore the many history-filled barns and paddocks. If you’re feeling brave enough for the spooky season, you must check out the Necropolis cemetery on site! It’s one of the city’s most historic cemeteries. Otherwise, the duck pond is a wonderful (and less scary) alternative.  If you ever find yourself exploring downtown Toronto this season, be sure to check out Riverdale Farm!

nature’s bounty farm ( 651 Scugog Line 2, Port Perry, On)

Nature’s Bounty Farm is a picturesque apple farm located in Port Perry. The lovely owners, Cathy and Marvin, have planted over 14,000 gorgeous apple trees for the public to pick from.
