15 Feelings All Golden Hawks Will Experience, as Told by “The Office” Gifs

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wilfrid Laurier chapter.

Last summer I finally watched “The Office” and now I completely understand why it is such a popular show! With my new-found love for this show, paired with my love of being a Golden Hawk, I present to you: 15 feelings all Golden Hawks will experience, as told by our beloved “The Office” characters!

1. When someone cuts in line for trivia sign-up… (it’s not okay).

2. That feeling of complete exhaustion, but also satisfaction, when you come home from a wild night at Phil’s and you share the tale with your roomie(s) the next morning. Who doesn’t love a good story?

3. HOW YOU FEEL WHEN YOU SEE A PUPPER OR DOGGO ON CAMPUS! *internally screaming*

4. The feeling a Golden Hawk gets the night before and the day of St. Paddy’s… need I really say more? NOTHING can get in the way of such a great day!

5. Dwight’s face really does capture the essence of how a Golden Hawk feels when ANYONE steps on the hawk… Kiss it! Kiss it! Kiss it!

6. That feeling of pride when you finally go to a prof’s office hours for clarification/help. You really do feel so much better afterwards. *sigh of relief*

7. When you’ve written so many essays/papers that you feel like you don’t have it in you to elaborate, so your first draft is clear and concise… and definitely does not meet the seven-page count. You’ve written just statements of facts…

8. When you check MLS and see that red dot of doom, only to finally work up the nerve to click it and find out it was only a “system maintenance” notification. *phew* That was a close one!

9. When you get an AWESOME grade on an assignment you were really nervous about. Good job, Golden Hawk, be proud!

10.  Pam does a superb job here of capturing how to feel about our fall reading week… *cries tears of joy* We really should be thankful for it!

11. Ah, yes. The chili incident is a personal fave.  What Kevin felt in that moment is equivalent to the feeling of going to Wilf’s for take-out spin dip (or mozza sticks…or buffalo fingers…or anything) only to be greeted by a “take-out closed” sign at the entrance. You REALLY had your heart set on it.

12. That feeling when you KNOW you need to up your fruit and vegetable game because you can’t *really* survive on pizza and spin dip alone…at least not anymore you can’t.

13. Now this gif could represent a couple things… the happy dance of making it through a rough day, the excitement of going out with your Golden roomies post midterms, or simply how one feels when they see their bed after a long day of class.

14. How you feel when you say goodbye to your roommates before reading week…Christmas break…summer break… a two-hour class. You love ‘em like family.

15. We’ve all been there. We’ve all had that one lecture where you walk out of the class thinking, “What did I just learn??” …but oh, the feeling when it finally makes sense and comes together (whether it’s because you applied yourself and reviewed your notes, or the next lecture tied all the loose ends together) makes it all worth it. It is at that moment when you’ll quietly think to yourself…“Oh, how the turntables.” – Michael Scott

Well, Golden Hawks, there you have it.  Keep on being Golden. Study hard, play hard, and there’s no harm in getting involved and putting yourself out there because, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. – Wayne Gretzky” – Michael Scott
