Wearing the World With Serengetee

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Western chapter.

This semester, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working as a brand representative with a company called Serengetee. Serengetee is well-known for their worldly pocket tees, and their mission to support artists and causes all over the world.

The brand was started in 2012 by two friends who met while on a Semester at Sea program. As they travelled all over the world, they purchased fabrics from over 25 countries and started their brand with no fashion experience and a cause in mind: giving back.

Serengetee donates 10% off all profits back to various grassroots causes, and every fabric has a story.

Check out their products and mission here, and use code Vaisbort15 for 15% off!

One of the best parts of Serengetee is that they promote wearing the world, and have college brand reps all over North America who support the mission of giving back. I have loved working with these reps so far, and have met so many new people! Check out what they have to say about Serengetee and being a rep.

Fav thing about being a rep: Being a rep for debatably the coolest clothing brand ever!

What I love most: Getting to be annoyingly active on social media to promote Getee. It’s a really cool brand with an even cooler mission. It’s amazing.

Since joining the Serengetee rep family a few months ago, I’ve met some of the coolest people. One person in particular is Andrew Semancik (aka my fellow Andrew) and it’s like we’re connected! Buying the same gear, wearing the same brands, working together to improve our productivity on rep projects… though we’ve never met in person I feel we have a real friendship.

The people associated with Serengetee are what makes being a rep so great, but the thing I love the most is the mission. Every day, we get to share the love that Serengetee has for people all across the globe. We have the chance to make a positive change in the world, simply by spreading awareness for this amazing brand! I strongly believe in the mission of Serengetee, and I plan on working with them as long as possible.

This is my third semester with Serengetee. I was introduced to the company a few years back in the summer. I checked out the website and immediately fell in love with the products and ordered my first shirt. It’s so fun to be part of a company that reaches out to so many different areas, places and people. I feel accepted by the community and i can use my gifts to help support them and share with my friends. My whole family has shirts now. I’ve fallen in love with my rep group #northontopreps with leader, Ravi Kohli who has been nothing but a kind and enthusiastic leader. Shoutout to all my girls out there!

This mission is so cool and I can’t wait to keep serving!

I think meeting all the people and fellow Reps around the country is a thing I really like about being a Rep captain. All of my fellow Rep captains are all amazing especially Ravi! And I love spreading the word about an amazing company that has done so much for countries around the world!
