It’s finals season, what’s your go to final’s survival strategy?

Honestly, I just make sure to take breaks and sleep. Remember, it’s a marathon not a sprint. I find that the library helps too if I’m feeling unmotivated. The people studying in the library around me make me feel guilty…so in a way they push me to study.

Along those lines, what’s the most important thing to you when in a high-stress time or situation?

The most important thing to me is sleep. If I don’t get a good sleep each night I won’t be able to function, let alone study.

Must have study snack:

popcorn – it’s light and is fun to munch on

As this is your final year, this will be one of your exam seasons, what’s the plan for post grad, and how do you feel about almost being finished your time at Western?

It’s a bittersweet feeling (that I am leaving soon). I am sad to leave a place I have come to consider home, but I am excited to start a new chapter and see what awaits. I plan to go to teachers college after I leave here to become a French teacher to children in grades 1-6.

Best memory in London so far?

I have so many, its so hard to choose. I have had so many amazing memories going out and getting drunk with my friends, but I would have to say my favourite memories are the 4 in the morning hang outs with my roommates – being silly and baking and laughing. Just having a good time!

Tell us a little bit about dating as a student at Western!

Uggh…It’s hard. Half the guys at Western don’t want to be in a relationship (they want to experience Western to its fullest blah blah), and a quarter already are in relationships, that leaves a small 25% that are emotionally available, but that doesn’t mean that I will like them or that they will like me. So yea, it’s hard.

What would be your ideal guy to date at this time in your life?

Honestly, just someone who is genuine, that’s the most important to me. But I also want someone who is intellectual and fun! I’m a smart girl I’d like to think and I want someone who will have more to say then just what their drinking and what bar/party they are going to this weekend.

LIGHTNING ROUND

Go-to Bar: Ceeps – classic and I always run into people I know

Go-to Drink: (alchohol) beer – any kind ! (regular) water

Celebrity Crush: Patrick J. Adams (Mike Ross from Suits)

Favourite Prof: I’ve had so many that I love. I’ll list off a few: Donna Pennee, Selma Purac, Chantal Dawar, Jonathan Boulter

Must-take class: First Year Political Science – Its actually really fun and really interesting and everyone can take it ! Plus the prof is really funny – lots of jokes about monkeys and Gwyneth Paltrow!

Favourite thing: Books

Current Fave Song: Anything Sam Hunt

Last Watched Movie: Home Alone – just too eager for Christmas, plus it’s a classic!

Last Netflix Binge: Friends

Fave Beauty Product: Mascara – a little mascara can go a long way

Final Question: Any advice for those beginning or in the middle of their Western experience?

Just enjoy it. Sometimes you have to just say “fuck it” and do something crazy, cause those are the memories that will stick with you.

Also, join things!! Clubs, intramurals, anything! Participate! Put yourself out there, I promise you won’t be disappointed.  There are so many great people at this school, don’t just limit yourself to one group.
