Best Fall Makeup Products for the Fall Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Western chapter.

Fall is the time that most of us look forward to for the most in the year. Who doesn’t love the cool weather, cozying up to warm fluffy blankets, drowning in oversized sweaters, the joy of Halloween, or sipping on the oh so famous Pumpkin Spice Latte? Personally speaking, my favourite part of the fall season is watching the change in clothing and makeup trends. So, without further ado, here is a list of some of my favourite makeup products for this loved season.

1. Urban Decay-Naked Heat Palette ($66 CAD)

A palette full of warm-toned reds and browns that will make the changing leaves totally envious! What’s not to love?

2) Fenty Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow ($23 CAD)

A universal gloss that looks good on all skin tones! You could wear it alone or as a topper on your favourite nude lipstick.

3) Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita II ($24 CAD)

This has been my favourite lipstick shade for quite a while and I even own it in the creme lipstick formula. As described on the website, it is a terracotta nude. Kat Von D’s liquid lipstick formula is one of my favourites as it is comfortable on the lips and can handle anything from drinks to eating without transferring all over the face.

4) MAC Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Whirl ($23 CAD)

A dusty deep rose matte lipstick that is comfortable for all-day wear. It’s a your-lips-but-better kind of lippie that will tie in any dramatic or natural eye look.

5) NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania ($9 CAD)

A vampy dark purple for any bold look. This is perfect for anyone that wants a little bit of drama for the colder months. It has a soft matte finish that isn’t at all drying on the lips!

6) NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation ($60 CAD)

33 Shades for a natural full coverage glow that lasts all day. As someone with combination skin, this foundation will work for anyone with dry or oily skin. The smallest bit of this foundation goes a long way to cover your entire face for a natural but still full coverage look. Those with dry skin can get away without setting it down for a glowy healthy look, but those with oily skin should hold it down with a good loose powder.

7) Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Champagne Pop ($46 CAD)

A champagne golden glow that looks lit from within making you look an Oscar Trophy in the best way possible. In my opinion, all of Becca’s highlighters are worth looking at!

8) Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in the colour Femme ($6.50 CAD)

Described as a muted lilac and will bring any look together! It’s not your traditional purple and it’s not too loud to rock every day.

9) Colourpop Pressed Powder Shadow Palette in Good Sport ($16.00 CAD)

If you’re looking for something that’s not the typical red and brown colour scheme, this palette’s for you! Bold and colourful shadows perfect for a Halloween look. Colourpop is a makeup brand known for producing high-quality products at an affordable price.

10) NYX Cosmetics Strictly Vinyl Eyeliner in the colour Hazy ($10.00 CAD)

Why stick to the classic black liner when you can change it up? This liner is perfect to jazz up an everyday basic wing. Wearing it alone with a simple no makeup, makeup look is sure to turn heads.

Remember at the end of the day, makeup is makeup. Exploring different techniques, trends, and styles is a part of the journey in changing up your look. So why not test out new makeup for the fall season and see what new find you’ll fall in love with?
