Tell me about yourself and all of the things you do at Western:

One word to describe me would be spontaneous. I am involved with lots of things at Western, which include being an editor at the Western Gazette and last year I was model at the Spur fashion show, which I hope to do again this year.

How did you hear about Her Campus? Why did you decide to join?

I heard about Her Campus last year from our now president, Ariel. I decided to join because I wanted an outlet to write more fun, personal articles.

What was your favorite thing to do in London?

Discover new hiking trails and coffee shops.

What did you do this summer?

I traveled with family—we went hiking and boating at Tobermory. I also worked at a French beauty store at the mall called L’occitane, and of course bonded with my roommates.

Do you have any mottos that you live by?

I have so many mottos but these are two of my favorites: “carpe diem” (seize the day) and “write drunk, edit sober.”

Do have any guilty pleasures?

Gossip Girl and David’s Tea.

What’s your favorite thing to do in your spare time?

Read, write, and make art.

Where is the best/last place you have travelled to?

Best: Belgium. I was totally surprised by it, which made me fall in love. *writer’s note: (she wanted to say France but it was too cliché!)

Last: Tobermory

What is your goal for this year?

To create fun and inspiring content and to stay organized past September.

Ariel graduated from Western University in 2017. She served as her chapter's Campus Correspondent, has been a National Content Writer, and a Campus Expansion Assistant. She is currently a Chapter Advisor and Chapter Advisor Region Leader.
