10 Reasons You Should Stop Impulse Buying

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Western chapter.

  1. Because you are a student, meaning money is likely very tight.

  2. Because you don’t need stickers, or temporary tattoos, or crazy straws, or whatever else is at the end of a grocery store aisle.

  3. Because something being “on sale” doesn’t mean you’re saving any real money.

  4. Because you’ll regret buying it tomorrow.

  5. Because let’s be honest you can’t afford to buy everyone rounds at the bar.

  6. Because you don’t need it.

  7. Because seriously you really don’t need it (especially if it’s another drink).

  8. Because buying it won’t make you any happier (just poorer, maybe drunker).

  9. Because if you don’t buy it you can put that money towards something you actually want.

  10. Because it feels good to be fiscally responsible!
