Personally, other than Christmas time, of course, the fall season is my favorite time to bake. I think it’s mostly because of the cozy vibes and colder weather, but also because of all the different varieties of treats you can make, especially the ones involving pumpkin flavors. You can do so many different things with different pumpkin ingredients such as pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice/pie seasoning, or pumpkin seeds/pepitas. Luckily, there are tons of ways to use these pumpkin components for some yummy fall treats this year. Here are a few ways to use these components in a more niche way than the usual go-to fall treats.Â
Pumpkin Puree
- Pumpkin Crème Brûlée
Pumpkin Crème Brûlée is the perfect way to take a classic dessert and add a fun fall twist to it. According to the recipe creator, this treat is super easy and can be made ahead of time, perfect for the busy season when you need a dessert by the end of the week for a weekend party. - Pumpkin Cheesecake Milkshake
To me, I think a Pumpkin Cheesecake Milkshake would taste just like a pumpkin pie in a drink…delicious. I think anything turned into a milkshake would be so yummy, so this milkshake I need to try before the end of the season.Â
Pumpkin Spice/Pie Seasoning
- Pumpkin Spice Latte Brownies
Pumpkin Spice Latte Brownies is such a fun way to combine two opposite but equally good foods. Even if you’re not a big fan of coffee, the recipe linked has more of a pumpkin and chocolate flavor rather than the sometimes rich or bitter coffee flavor. - Pumpkin Spice Latte Caramels
Caramels are something I never really think about making because it seems like it would be extra difficult, but it’s actually pretty simple and can have a ton of different variations of flavors. The Pumpkin Spice Latte Caramels linked are even vegan!Â
Pumpkin Seeds/Pepitas
- Spiced Pumpkin Sourdough Scones
Everyone recently has been obsessed with sourdough and incorporating it into all kinds of different foods, so why not also incorporate pumpkin into it as well? Spiced Pumpkin Sourdough Scones with the pumpkin seeds added on top are the perfect way to use up all the pesky seeds you have after carving your pumpkins. - Pepita Brittle
Pepita or Pumpkin Seed Brittle is a dessert that can be spiced up in so many different ways but also tastes good when just kept to a simple recipe. The one linked adds pecans with the pepitas adding some more fall flavors to the mix.Â
Hopefully these recipes give you some new, refreshing, fun, and cozy ideas for the next time you want to bake a yummy fall pumpkin treat. They should surely satisfy the pumpkin craving that we all seem to have this time of year.
