What Students Really Do On Reading Week

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Waterloo chapter.

We all know that reading week isn’t actually meant for reading. It’s a time for us to finally relax and unwind while back in our hometowns. As much as we know we should be taking this week to catch up and advance in our academics, we end up doing these six things instead.

1. Sleep

There are six weeks of sleep to catch up on and we definitely take advantage of being able to sleep in!

2. Watch the 2018 Olympic Winter Games

Being able to stay up extra late means we can watch the Olympic Games. Go Team Canada!

3. Hang out with friends

It’s time to catch up on our friends’ lives!

4. Spend time with family

What a better time to spend time with your family than on the Family Day long weekend!

5. Watch Gossip Girl… I mean Netflix

Netflix brought back Gossip Girl right on time!

6. Travel

Whether you’ve gone off to a resort, flown to Europe, or traveled within Canada, students take advantage of this week by going wherever they possibly can. With the beautiful weather we’ve been having this week, you should definitely take advantage and get outside!
