Don’t feel like socializing in one of the most social environments? That is totally okay! Many students identify themselves at the end of the introvert-extrovert spectrum; you might even be a combination of both! Here are some suggestions of chill places and things to do in Loo:
1. Hit up a board game cafe! Sweet Dreams Tea Shop is laid-back and even has a cute corner of trinkets to buy (and hoard). Let’s face it, bubble tea is sent from heaven and this is one of the best places to get it.
2. Ride the bus! It’s included in your tuition. Getting lost on the transit with a good book is a great way to pass time.
3. Visit Chapters. It’s a great place to study and is only 5 bus stops from campus. Plus, books are an introvert’s best friend ;)
4. Watch a movie in theaters, alone. It means not having to share your snacks and no judgement on what you find enjoyable. I guarantee that you will feel so independent!
5. Visit Uptown. On weekdays you can stop by nice little stores like Words Worth Bookstore.
6. Visit Boardwalk for some $5 Hot & Ready Pizza! Pizza, it speaks for itself.
7. Visit New Residence Building for some burritos (yes, there is a burrito bar).
8. Stay home. Do none of these appeal to you? You might just like being indoors or more accurately, in bed.
9. Go to Michael’s craft store. Why not make your dorm, off-campus apartment, or room at your parents’ more cozy? Surround yourself in what you love, whether it be colours or minimalist, Michael’s has everything.
Introverts are great people with an even greater sense of self. No matter what; do what you love, love what you do. It’s easy to lose your way in the crowd but all roads lead to home and for introverts that’s all the comfort you need.
