1.      GRT easyGO
This app will give you real time bus info so you never have to miss a bus again! Features include; arrival times, live news feed, route info, bus geolocations, detour info and a link to the mobile trip planner. It’s now also easier on your phone battery and data usage!
2.      Drunk Mode
This app is not just for drinkers! If drinking isn’t your thing you may still want to download it! I say this because there’s a “Find My Drunk” feature. This allows you to track down your drunk friends via GPS if you’ve lost them (pretty handy if you ask me!). More good reasons to download it; the “Stop Drunk Dialing” feature that allows you to hide select contacts from yourself for up to 12hours, the “Find a Safe Ride Home” feature can help you find a ride home or provide you with walking directions that lead to your friends, lastly the “Breadcrumbs” feature retraces your steps on a map from the night before so you can find out exactly where you went and where you frequented most (Which you can share on social media apps! Haha!). So if you’re the type to drunk call your ex (or Mom), run away when intoxicated or have friends who “get lost” I highly advise you to get this app and have fun!
3.      Student Coupons
Made by students at UW and WLU this app will give you acess to hundreds of coupons that can be used in the Waterloo area! Coupons are usually from retaurants and recreational activities. Not to mention it saves trees because they aren’t being printed AND you don’t have to worry about forgetting a coupon at home!
4.      UWaterloo-Life
As you may have guessed this app helps keep you up to date on university news, activities, promotions, schedules and events.
5.      WatMapp
This app is super handy in the winter. Showing you routes by bridges and tunnels, this app can show you how to get from class to class with minimal time outdoors (brrr). You can choose from routes that are; the fastest, will keep you mostly indoors or will keep you 100% indoors. Say goodbye to freezing between classes!
