Have you ever thought about working for or starting your own business? Are you not sure what or how you can contribute to a start-up?
Come out to the UW Arts and Business Society’s event, stART-up! This event is designed to introduce Arts students to the entrepreneurship & innovation within UWaterloo, and to connect the entrepreneurship community to the Faculty of Arts! There will be a fireside chat with alumni and members from the entrepreneurial community on campus, followed by a networking session where you will be able to meet Arts Alumni and current students with their own start-ups!
This event focuses on shifting that dialogue to include everyone, while so much of the discussion around entrepreneurship in Waterloo focuses around STEM majors. There is a place for all majors in a start-up! Not only do they need those with technical expertise, but start-ups also need people that know the ins-and-outs of marketing, human resources, finance, and much more. Come see how you would fit in at a start-up and explore the potential you have!
