This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Waterloo chapter.
Andrew James Massaad: Bearded Bachelor

Andrew is all about that beard as this week’s Campus Cutie!

What year are you in? 2A

What faculty and program are you in? Environment and Business

Relationship Status? Single

Favorite Sport? Rugby & Soccer

Favourite Food? Definitely Lebanese Cuisine. I grew up in the capital of Lebanon; around the culture and the food.

Celebrity look-a-like:  I’ve been told I look like Shawn Desman back when I didn’t have the beard.

What inspired you to grow a beard? The fact that I can, and many men can’t.

Do you find security in your beard? No, but I do find power in it. The bigger the beard, the more authority a man has over others. I heard a quote that went something like : “There are 2 kinds of people in this world, 1) Men with Beards 2) Women ”

What do you think woman’s advantages are? I would say their hair, and how long and wavy it is. ( Based on what some of the ladies I know said)

Most rebellious thing you did as a child? I actually had a fist fight with my supervisor in school when I was in Lebanon. He wouldn’t allow me into the field where everyone else was, so I snuck in and he caught me. That’s the way I decided to deal with it.

What is your idea of the perfect date? After a long day of some crazy activities, would love to spend the night at a Chalet overlooking some mountains, the fireplace burning, and some good food with smooth music.

What is your favorite workout regime? Tough question… But one of my strongest parts is my chest, I bench 2 plates which is 215 pounds and I incline Dumbbell 70 pounds .

What is your passion in life? To glorify God and to be a man that pursues Righteousness.

Describe yourself in 3 words: Zealous. Responsible. God Driven.

Do you have any advice to our Warrior Women? Fight for your rights. Stay strong. Push forward.
