When all that’s left are memories of people and things

Scattered thoughts of joy and despair. All jumbled up into a number

2018

You can move on now. Because it’s all done.

No turning back, no regretting. Leave your sorrows in 2018

Now, I’m not saying make a resolution. Because who sticks to that?

Rather just leap forward

With open arms and an open heart

Embrace the next day, embrace 2019

However, don’t just expect 2019 to be better

While still clinging on to the rope of 2018

Let go of last year’s failures, don’t bind yourself to them

It’s a whole new year, with adventures to seek and people to meet

Let this cup start empty by washing off all the past rust.

And fill it to brim with whatever this year has to offer.

Just close your eyes and jump right in.

Hi, I like Starbucks, my laptop and fantastical imagery. Other than that, I am in my 1B term of Health Studies at the University of Waterloo. Stick around to check out some of my poetry :)
I enjoy naps, cake and sarcasm. Besides that I'm in Honours Science at the University of Waterloo!
