It’s almost St. Patrick’s day! You’re probably thinking about wearing green, partying and drinking, amiright? Although St. Patrick’s Day is known to be the day for people to go celebrate on Ezra and get drunk (drink responsibly), the holiday’s original purpose is quite different than how it turns out nowadays. Here are some fun things to do on St. Patrick’s Day – besides getting drunk.

1. Wear all green (duh!)

2. Make a challenge for your friends to wear all green – St. Patrick’s Day squad goals!

3. Find all the four-leaf shamrocks near the university

4. Make a shamrock crown for you and all of your friends

5. Eat green food for the whole day. At least you’ll probably be eating healthy

6. Watch a St. Patrick’s Day movie! Some movie recommendations include: Leprechaun, Once, The Boondock Saints, The Secret of Kells.

7. Try a cultural Irish dish that is prepared specially for St. Patrick’s Day! You could potentially discover a new favourite dish. Some suggestions include: Irish Stew, Melissa’s Shepherd’s Pie, Corned Beef and Cabbage, and Chocolate Stout cupcakes!

8. Send snapchats to your friends with the St. Patrick’s Day filter, all day long. You can use this as an excuse to gain more SnapChat points

9. Bake green cookies or macarons with your friends! I mean who doesn’t love junk food?

10. Remember to take a St. Patrick’s Day themed pics for Instagram! If it’s not on Instagram, it didn’t happen

I hope everyone enjoys the holiday, and please drink responsibly – don’t drink and drive!
