Valentine’s Day is certainly going to be different this year. Whether you are going to be staying home or hanging out with your friends, family or boo, here are some makeup products I would recommend to having your makeup popping on the special day of love.

1) ABH Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette: 4.5/5

If you have followed makeup trends for years, you would probably know about this classic eyeshadow palette. This palette offers a wide range from neutrals to bright red shadows. If you want to achieve a beautiful neutral or red toned eyeshadow look, I recommend this palette. The formula is easy to blend and you can build it up to make it look brighter. One of the standout shades from this palette, I would say is Venetian Red. The Anastasia Beverly Hills website describes Venetian Red as a “crimson with an ultra-matte finish.” I would say there are many similar palettes now in the market, but if you are new to makeup, or just want a well-rounded palette, I would say to check this out. Another plus from this palette is that it is Cruelty Free, which means it has not been tested on any animals. I know personally, I have been trying to change to using more cruelty free and vegan makeup, and I appreciate that many brands having been changing toward this over the past couple of years.

2) Morphe 35O2 Second Nature Artistry Palette: 5/5

I cannot explain how much I adore this palette. It is one of my favorite go-to palettes to use whenever I do my eyeshadow. Whether I want a more natural look or feel like having a bright red, orange or brown smokey eye, it is a such a versatile product. The formula is creamy and smooth to blend. This formula does have fallout with the brighter shades and shimmers, so I would recommend doing your eyeshadow before applying your face makeup. The standout shade from this palette would be Ruby, a “red coral shimmer” as described on the Morphe website. It applies like butter on your eyelid and I would highly recommend applying it with your finger to be able get a more prominent pigmentation on the lids.

3) KVD Vegan Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw: 5/5

Red is one of my favorite lip colors to wear. It makes me feel empowered and just adds a special touch to any makeup look from natural to bold. I personally have loved using this shade for years, and it is the one of the only red liquid lipsticks I live by. The formula is very smooth, and it applies pleasantly on the lips. Like with any liquid lipstick, you must make sure your lips are exfoliated to be able to give that polished matte look. I would consider this a beautiful color to wear on Valentine’s Day because it is a stunning red shade that is not too orange or too pink toned. It is the perfect shade to compliment any makeup look you decide to do on the special day, and it will certainly last all day.

4) Wet n Wild Photo Focus Primer Water: 4/5

Setting spray is a must have to help your makeup look last all day. This is a newer product I started using these past couple of weeks and so far, I am really enjoying it. It feels refreshing on my skin, and since it is a “3-in-1 primer water,” I spray this before I apply my foundation since I do have dry skin, and I appreciate the extra hydration it helps give my skin before I go in with my base products. This is such an inexpensive product and I feel that any skin type would enjoy using it.

As you continue to plan on what you are going to do on Valentine’s Day, I hope you found this helpful if you were having any trouble of thinking or you just needed some new makeup product to help perfect your Valentine’s Day look.
