I Picked My 10 Favorite Harry Styles Performances From His Solo Career

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Washington chapter.

I wasn’t a diehard fan of the global sensation One Direction, and I was only slightly aware of Harry’s first single “Sign of the Times” back when it hit the airwaves in 2017. So, I was very surprised when I witnessed the fervor surrounding the release of two of Harry Styles’ singles from his sophomore album Fine Line last fall. Of course, the fact that this article exists indicates that something about my perspective has changed.

There’s no singular reason (or maybe there is) for which I can credit my newfound admiration for Harry Styles. Is it his natural tendency to produce hit after hit, whether it’s a slow ballad or psychedelic pop earworm? Is it the way Harry respects and elevates his predominantly younger, female fans? Or maybe it’s how he has been rewriting masculinity in a thoughtful, intelligent way as a newfound solo artist.

The answer, of course, is one persistent friend and an endless stream of live performances, music videos, and Harry Styles stan content. Inspired by an article I recently came across, and to celebrate my three-month anniversary as a Harry Styles fan (the nine-year fans are laughing at me right now), I picked my ten favorite performances during his solo career, in no particular order. Yes, you should watch all of them.

Harry Styles performs “Sign of the Times” on the Graham Norton Show in 2017

Harry Styles performs “Lights Up” on SNL in 2019

Harry Styles covers “You’re Still the One” with Kacey Musgraves in 2018

Harry Styles performs “What Makes You Beautiful” at the Jingle Bell Ball in 2019

Harry Styles performs “Medicine” on tour in 2018

Harry Styles performs “Adore You” on the Graham Norton Show in 2019

Harry Styles performs “Watermelon Sugar” on SNL in 2019

Harry Styles covers “Juice” in the BBC Live Lounge in 2019

Harry Styles performs “Kiwi” three times on tour in 2018

Now that you’ve watched all 10 performances, the YouTube algorithm probably thinks you’re a Harry Styles fan. Welcome to the club!
