Where are you from?

Southern California. Please don’t all it Cali or SoCal. That’s how people KNOW you’re not from there. I’ve started picking it up because I’ve lived here & feel like I’m betraying my roots SOS.

What’s your major & why?

I am getting a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health. My parents both work in the medical field, and I wanted to help people in some way besides being a doctor. I am really interested in racial health disparities, and how societal factors can affect a person’s health.

How’d you get involved with Her Campus?

Last year I felt that I wasn’t taking advantage of all the different experiences UW could offer me, and I figured it was fate when I was scrolling my facebook and saw the Her Campus application!

What’s something people might not know about you?

That I live in a house with 9 guys. It’s real rough because we all hate to clean. I need Amy Adams from Enchanted to sing and get pigeons to tidy up my room and do the dishes.

Do you have any favorite hobbies?

Basketball. People call me “bro”. My high school crush called me a bro. Ball is life. Getcha head in the game.

What about secret talents?

I have some Grandma-ish skills, like knitting and sewing. I can occasionally touch my nose with my tongue…I am awesome at eating also.

What are three things you couldn’t live without?

  1. I’m really into biscuits. I know, I know, it’s hipster af, but biscuits are bae.

  2. My water bottle because I am constantly drinking water throughout the day and actually feel like a piece of me is missing if I don’t have it.

  3. My planner, because I plan my entire day out, including when I eat.

Favorite spot to study?

I love the law library on campus and also small cafes like Kaladi Brothers

And finally, biggest pet peeve?

When people ask for food but already have their hand/fork in whatever I am eating. I am very protective over my food.
