4 Tasty Dessert Spots in Seattle to Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Washington chapter.
From pies to ice cream to ube cheesecake, these sweets are hot-to-trot and ready to rock your tastebuds. Get ready to drool.

Sod House Bakery

Sod House Bakery is my personal favorite dessert shop on this list. I love to order for pickup on the weekends to treat myself to a nice breakfast treat. Their wide selection of pastries offers many unique options. My favorite item to get is the Cinnamon Bun, but the real star of the bakery (in my opinion) is the Almond Croissant. It is almost always sold out when I go to order it because it is just that good. It’s quite big, big enough for two ;) and has the perfect texture.

Hood Famous Cafe + Bar

Hood Famous Bakery specializes in desserts featuring Filipino and Asian-Pacific flavors. They are famous for their cheesecakes – I recommend getting a 4-pack of mini-cheesecakes: ube (my personal favorite), white chocolate guava, Vietnamese coffee, and coconut pandan.

A la Mode Pies

This local, handmade pie shop sells pies by the slice, in mini bite-size forms, and in full pies. Their selection features Apple & Ginger Pear, Marionberry & Hazelnut, Key Lime and my personal favorite, Star-Spangled Sour Cherry

Frankie and Joe’s

This one’s for you, vegans! Frankie and Joe’s is a well-known vegan ice cream place, but I had to put it on the list just in case any non-Washingtonians are reading this. Their seasonal flavors are always a slam dunk, but from the current crop of seasonal flavors Frankie and Joe’s offers, my favorite is Night Sky.
