Winter Weekend Activities in St. Louis

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wash U chapter.

Winter is here, and it’s officially the season of peppermint, holiday lights, and engaging in festive activities with friends and family. Because of the pandemic, the holiday season looks a little different this year, from Zoom Christmas parties to virtual mistletoe. However, there are still multiple places in the St. Louis area that are open and ready to give you and your friends the perfect amount of (safe) holiday cheer.

1. Steinberg Skating Rink

Located right in the heart of Forest Park, Steinberg Skating Rink is the picture-perfect place to celebrate winter with your besties. General admission is $10 and skate rentals are $8, and they only accept cash. Grab a few friends and a mask and head over to skate away from the classic end-of-semester stress!

2. Garden Glow at Missouri Botanical Gardens

Garden Glow is a spectacular light show with over one million lights spread throughout the beautiful Missouri Botanical Gardens. With festive drinks, s’mores, and an incredible light display, Garden Glow is a must-see during the holiday season!

3. Eckert’s Farm

Searching for the perfect holiday photo-op for your Insta? Look no further than Eckert’s Millstadt farm! With endless rows of Christmas trees and fun holiday treats and decor, Eckert’s is a great way to spend some time outdoors with friends.
