Why Monochrome Dressing Can Save Your Wardrobe

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wash U chapter.

Monochrome dressing is the secret to looking like a fashionista. Dressing solely in one color gives the impression of sophistication when in reality, it is a lazy solution to any fashion crisis.

Here are the steps to achieve monochrome dressing.

1. Pick a color, any color.

Neon-in-your-face yellow, dazzling emerald green, cotton candy pink…

The color wheel is your oyster.

2. Dress entirely in that color.

No skill or coordination needed, and most importantly, no rules apply.

Hues and tones may vary, and just simply dress head to toe, limb to limb in the color of your choice.

3. Done.

Carry the look with confidence and chic ease.

Check out the rainbow-themed monochrome inspiration below to help you get started on your own look!
