It’s Time For Fall Festivities… St. Louis Edition!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wash U chapter.

With cozy sweaters, enticing pumpkin treats, vibrant amber foliage, and crisp winds, autumn ushers in a special magic. Whether a (socially distanced) escapade with friends or a solitary indulgence, here are some seasonal inspirations to revive your St. Louis bucket list.

Venture to Eckerts’ Farm on an apple-picking excursion. Along with the juiciest bushel of flavor, try their renowned apple and pumpkin pies.

Walk the decorated cobblestone path of Frenchtown on Historic St. Charles Main Street to explore the quaint shops and restaurants. Celebrate the moment with a scrumptious caramel apple from Kilwins’ to satisfy your sweet tooth.

In the season of giving, serve the homeless at Loaves & Fishes’ annual “Turkey Time STL” Thanksgiving food drive.

Stroll through Kirkwood Farmers’ Market or visit the pumpkin patch at Theis Farms to commandeer the perfect pumpkin for Halloween carving.

Capture the season on the spooky trails of Grant’s Farm at the Halloween Drive-Through Experience on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights throughout October.

Visit The Cup in Central West End or Jilly’s Cupcake Bar on Delmar to sniff the sweet aroma of the unique, seasonal cupcake flavors.

Reserve a spot at the annual Lights Festival at Cedar Lake Cellars on October 31st to gaze at the stars and lanterns illuminating the sky.

Join the Haunted History Walking Tour to discover the frightening past of St. Louis, beginning from Morgan Street Brewery and extending through Laclede’s Landing.

Enjoy a memorable evening at Forest Park by reserving a wagon for a hayride on Friday or Saturday nights throughout October and November.

Warm your body and soul with a flavorful cider at Brick River Cider, St. Louis’ first cidery.

Participate in fall activities at St. Louis Zoo or get lost in the largest corn maze in town at Brookdale Farms.

Take a hike at Castlewood State Park, Botanical Gardens, Tower Grove Park, or Queeny Park to experience the majestic beauty of the autumn landscape.

Savor the rich pumpkin cheesecake and spice pie at Bailey’s Chocolate Bar or the decadent creations at Cyrano’s Cafe and Wine Bar.

Return to campus refreshed and restored. Happy fall!
