It’s naïve to think that the election stress ends with the winner. No matter if Trump or Biden wins, there will be an outcry. In the unprecedented time of COVID-19 and the uncertain outcome of the most influential presidential election of our lifetime, it’s completely normal to be stressed. Normalizing this anxiety is the first step to taking better care of your mental health now and in the future.

This incessant feeling that the world is falling apart, momentum from the beginning of March until now, is a shared experience. When your anxiety skyrockets, call up a friend, knock on your roommate’s door, or even let it all out on Twitter. To prevent this peak, you can schedule time in your day to just move your body, enjoy this beautiful foliage and crisp weather; whether it’s a run (personally, that’s a bit extreme for me but you do you) or just walking to a different study spot on campus, just get some energy out and take time to appreciate your environment.

You’ve got this!
