I am fully obsessed with cheer.
This docu-series on Netflix takes a bit to get into, but once you do you are HOOKED.
It follows this cheer team, Navarro cheer, to their big competition at Nationals. You fall in love with the characters and cry at their sad upbringings, laugh at their jokes, and are simply CHEERing for them the entire way.
Here are some of my favorite characters:
Jerry, or Jeremiah Harris (@jerry.h.arris on Instagram). He is the nicest, most bubbly, and most encouraging person. I’ve never seen him not smiling or uplifting someone.
Morgan Simianer (@morgannlyn on Instagram). She is the most hardworking person and always gives each task 110%, even if her injuries are killing her.
Lexi Brumback (@lexisbrumback on Instagram). She had a rough past that still somewhat follows her today, but she does not let it affect her cheering and is one of the most amazing tumblers.
and, last but DEFINITELY not least, the coach Monica Aldama (@monicaaldama on Instagram). Her passion for cheer is unmatchable, and she is a quasi-mother to these kids.
There are SO MANY amazing people featured with amazing stories. I highly recommend watching; I don’t want to spoil anything with this article, but hopefully it incentivizes you to watch!
