Name: Kathy Chang
Home Town: Taipei City, Taiwan
Class of: 2015

What are you currently wearing? I’m wearing a pea coat and turtleneck from Zara, my boots are from Timberland, and my scarf is from a boutique in Taiwan.

What’s something you wear every day? I wear this small silver ring every day. It reminds me of my home and Taipei, because that’s where I got it from. I never take it off; I wear it to shower and to sleep and everything.

How would you describe your style? I wear a lot of neutral colors. I don’t really wear a lot of bright colors, except for dresses – that’s a different story. I also really like bold things like leather. I take bits and pieces of every style, as long as things match, and filter all the trends through my color palette. When in doubt, I just go simple.

Where do you like to shop? I love getting my dresses from ASOS, which is a place online. Otherwise I just like going into random stores and digging for things that can be added to my closet. I also love shopping in boutiques in Taipei.

What is something you would like to own, if anything? I really want knee-high boots, but I haven’t found any that I’ve fallen in love with yet, so I’m still searching.

Who are your style inspirations? There’s this half-American, half-Japanese model named June Hasegawa and she’s like my idol. I love her style.

What does style mean to you?I think it brings out individuality and it’s a way for me to express myself. I think my style also depends on and reflects my mood for that day. I love art and design so it’s a good way for me to show my artistic side and personal style outwardly; I can be as creative as I want to be.
