9 Bears Den Hacks

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wash U chapter.

Wash U is known for having some of the best college food in the country, but let’s be real, we all still get tired of it. I can’t tell you the number of turkey burgers I’ve had this semester, so I decided it’s time to learn to do BD right with these BD hacks.

**Disclaimer: Might not look as good as the photos.**

1. Bring Seoul Taco to You

Ever craved Seoul Taco but was too lazy to walk to the loop? Just add an egg to your stir-fry!

2. The Healthy Stir Fry

Tired of feeling like you ate a village after stir-fry? Replace those lo mein noodles with quinoa from the salad bar in Paws & Go.

3. Upgrade that Paws Salad

Get a grilled chicken sandwich from the grill and cut it up to add to your salad.

Another pro tip: use a lemon as dressing.

4. Easy Breakfast to Go

Sweeten your oatmeal with peanut butter and honey instead of using brown sugar.

Also add a banana if you’re feeling wild.

5. Egg Sandwich 2.0

If you want to go crazy with your breakfast get a croissant from Cherry Tree and bring it to the grill and they’ll use it for an egg sandwich.

6. Late Night Snack

Saving you from ordering another half & half: get a grilled cheese and ask for bacon on it.

7. Healthier Burger

If you’re looking to skip out on the regular cheese burger get a turkey burger without a bun on lettuce and add an over easy egg.

8. Sneak the Froyo

Eyeing that frozen yogurt? Use the soup sampling cups to “sample” froyo in Paws (you didn’t hear it from me).

Also buy candy from Bear-y Sweet Shoppe to use as toppings!

9. Almond Milk Latte

Don’t waste your money on Starbucks when you can make your own Almond Milk Latte- just buy almond milk from Paws and add to your iced coffee from Cherry Tree!

Hope these tips help you switch things up and huge S/O to Riana Nigam and Alex Lopes for being my BD inspos!!!
