Her Campus Waseda at Sonic Mania 2015! Three of our chapter contributors Sakura, Amy and Tiger enjoyed their summer vacation dancing at Sonic Mania this year. Sonic Mania is an overnight summer music event where major Japanese artists perform. World-wide famous artists also come to perform. Headliners this year included Dillon Francis, Porter Robinson, Marilyn Manson and Destructo. Past headliners include DJ Snake, Zedd and Krewella. The event takes place at Makuhari Messe located in Chiba and the venue is split up into three different stages.
After Sonic Mania, during the day is Summer Sonic. Summer Sonic is a two-day outdoor music festival. Pharrel, Ariana Grande, D’Angelo and the Vanguard, Imagine Dragons and All Time Low were amongst the many artists who came to perform.
In Japan, both Sonic Mania and Summer Sonic are highly anticipated events for the summer. You can enjoy the events in Chiba or Osaka! For those who missed out, you can check out the aftermovie online!
