You walk in to Starbucks ready to study, but there are no open chairs. Where should you go? The atrium in the library is always so full… Are there other options? Of course there are – no fear!

First, dorm lounges are a great place to study especially if you are having trouble. There are normally other people to help you out. Second, Campus Grounds! It is on the upper quad- I know, such a hike- but it really is cozy.
If these two options don’t sound good to you, or you need to study in quiet, there are a couple of other options. There are so many other places to study in the library other than the atrium and as you go up, it gets quieter. Check out the reading room on the fourth floor or the old wing. To get to the old wing, take the creeper stairs right after the metal detectors. It is really nice and normally pretty empty. Both are great options. If you need a desk, there are lots of cubicles on the fifth and eighth floors.

If the library is just not your place, here are three other great options. One, empty classrooms especially in Tribble are nice. If a classroom is empty you are welcome to go in and study. Tribble is especially quiet and has a lot of rooms, but make sure to not get lost. The other two places are Reynolda and Benson. If you go up a floor from the Benson food area, there are couches and tables you could use (especially good for group study sessions). In Reynolda, a floor up from the Pit, there are lots of couches and tables, which are very comfy. It is also very quiet in Reynolda.
Bottom line? Save the stress for your exams. You can always find someplace to sit on campus! Happy studying!Â
