Finally it’s that time of year when it’s socially acceptable to play holiday music and break out those “ugly” Christmas sweaters. November is full of fun and exciting events here at Wake Forest. Make sure you pencil these must-do’s into your planner because you won’t want to miss out!
Wake Men’s Soccer 11/5 at 1pm
If you haven’t heard already, our men’s soccer team is number one in the NCAA! This Sunday is the first playoff game that will be held at Spry. Grab some friends and hang out on the Hill to root our team to victory!
Wake Men’s Football v. NC State 11/18
Although this isn’t technically the last home football game of the season, Wake treats it as such (the real last home game is against Duke but it’s played over Thanksgiving break). Use this as a chance to tailgate and cheer on our Deacs for one last football game at BB&T Field.
Georgia O’Keeffe Exhibit
Take a quick walk down to the Reynolda House to check out this temporary exhibit: Georgia O’Keeffe: Living Modern. Marvel at some of her artwork and pieces of clothing from her own wardrobe. This exhibition will only last until November 19 so be sure to buy your tickets!
Pitsgiving
This is hands down the best the Pit ever gets all year. On the Thursday a week before Thanksgiving, the Pit throws and all day Thanksgiving-style traditional dinner. Eat all the turkey, mashed potatoes and pie to your heart’s content. Don’t forget to wear comfy, stretchy clothes! A word of advice, only go with a friend or two because it may take a while to find seats together. Or, go during “off peak” meal times. Even better, set up a rotation with an organization of which you are a part to hold down a table for your crew all day!
