The Ultimate Christmas Playlist 2013

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

Gingerbread lattes, frosted sugar cookies, and festive carols: What do all these things have in common?

They are my favorite parts of December!

However, collegiettes, as we all struggle through exam week, just itching to get home and sleep for three weeks, I find that it’s time to break out my most favorite part of the holidays: Christmas music! During winter finals, an especially great way to make yourself feel better, or to just to get into your study groove, is listening to the classics we all know and love.

I don’t know about you, but the very second winter weather rolls in each year, I throw on my tacky Christmas sweater and crank up the Pandora Christmas Radio! From the Bing Crosby classics to lighthearted, jingly tunes, there’s a Christmas song out there for everyone. Even if you do not observe Christmas, these songs are just joyful reminders of the holiday season. So if you’re looking to spread the Christmas cheer, sing these hits loud for all to hear!

1. “Last Christmas” – Cascada

2. “Baby it’s Cold Outside” – Zooey Deschanel & Leon Redbone

3. “Sleigh Ride” – Karmin

4. “All I Want for Christmas is You” – Mariah Carey

5. “White Christmas” – The Drifters

6. “Blue Christmas” – Michael Bublé

7. “Run Rudolph Run” – Bryan Adams

8. “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” – Brenda Lee

9. “I’ll be Home for Christmas” – She & Him

10. “Little Saint Nick” – The Beach Boys

11. “It’s Beginning to Look like Christmas” – Perry Como

12. “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” – Michael Bublé

13. “The Christmas Song” – The Raveonettes

14. “The Christmas Waltz” – She & Him

15. “What are You Doing New Year’s Eve?” – Zooey Deschanel & Joseph Gordon-Levitt
