Try These Guilt-Free Meals from Chain Restaurants

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

We have all had those days when we just want to get in our car, drive to the nearest drive-thru and order something delicious. The thought of cooking something for ourselves doesn’t even cross our mind. But if you’re not careful, eating out can lead to some pretty unhealthy choices and lack of proper nutrients in your meal. Here are five delicious, yet guilt-free meals from chain restaurants to try:

1. Starbucks: Reduced-Fat Turkey Bacon & Cage Free Egg White Breakfast Sandwich.

I really like this sandwich because it has the protein you need to get your day started off on the right foot. It practically melts in your mouth and goes wonderfully with a hot cup of coffee.

Calories: 210

Fat: 5 g

Carbs: 26 g

Protein: 18 g Sodium: 560 mg

2. The Cheesecake Factory: Chicken Lettuce Wrap Tacos.

These lettuce wraps are absolutely delicious. They come with chopped-up vegetables and perfectly grilled chicken. These wraps are a great choice if you want something light and refreshing.

Calories: 410

Fat: 14 g

Carbs: 49 g

Protein: 25 g Sodium: 980 mg

3. Chick-fil-A: Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap.

This wrap is a great lunch option. Although it is pretty high in sodium, it has a ton of protein to fill you up and keep you alert throughout the day. It’s even better paired with a side of Chick-fil-A fruit salad.

Calories: 350

Fat: 14 g

Carbs: 29 g

Protein: 38 g Sodium: 960 mg

4. Panera: Asian Sesame Salad with Chicken (whole salad):

Everyone goes to Panera for bread, which is totally understandable, but their salads are delicious too. I have a weakness for this sweet and crunchy salad, while the chicken and almonds keep me full until dinner.

Calories: 410

Fat: 21 g

Carbs: 25 g

Protein: 32 g Sodium: 540 mg

5. Subway: Six-inch turkey breast sub on 9-grain wheat with Swiss cheese, banana peppers, cucumbers, green peppers, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, avocado, and vinegar dressing.

Feel free to pick and choose your veggies on this sandwich, but the 9-grain bread and the turkey breast are healthy options and still super yummy. Add on some vegetables and you’ve got yourself a substantial, nutritional sandwich.
