Christmas is basically upon us.  While some people refuse to have the Christmas spirit until after Thanksgiving, my celebration starts right after Halloween.  I would listen to Christmas all year long if it was socially acceptable. There is nothing that Christmas music can’t fix. In a bad mood? Listen to some Christmas cheer.  So I’m here to give you what I think are the best Christmas songs of all time. Although every Christmas song is incredible and yes I do have an 11 hour long Christmas playlist that I have spent years cultivating and will send to anyone who needs it.

  1. That’s Christmas to Me by Pentatonix

Pentatonix rules Christmas and that’s a fact.  Every single one of their songs is incredible but this one always makes me feel emotional because I think of all my Christmas memories and what the holiday means to me personally.

  1. It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas by Michael Bublé

Michael Buble is the king of Christmas.  His voice was just made for Christmas music, I don’t make the rules.  This song in particular I really enjoy because I love that feeling when suddenly the holiday season starts.  When the streets start to become decorated and the energy of everyone getting ready for the season fills everyone with joy, it is absolutely magical.

  1. All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey

Classic.  It needs no explanation.

  1. Believe by Josh Groban (From the Polar Express)

This song hits me.  I think that a part of the magic of Christmas is continuing to believe in the power of Christmas. But this song is so beautiful and if you haven’t dramatically listened to it alone in your car, you are missing out.

  1. Mistletoe by Justin Bieber

His best work.  Justin’s Christmas album is and always will be the best music that he has put out.  His fetus high voice is just perfect for the holiday season. This song is a bop and that’s a fact.

  1. Last Christmas by Wham!

This song is also iconic and needs no explanation.  I have to say no matter how many times this song is covered I love it every time.

  1. Carol of the Bells by John Williams (From Home Alone)

My family has strong opinions that this is the best version of this song and I totally agree.  Not only does it make me play that scene from Home Alone in my head but it is a weird combination of Christmas and kind of creepy, I don’t know but it is great.

  1. It’s the Most Wonderful Time of Year by Andy Williams

You can’t listen to this song without smiling and physically feeling the joy of Christmas. My mom always talks about how as a kid she would watch the Andy Williams Christmas specials and so his voice always associates for me the Christmas season.

  1. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays by NSYNC

This song has influenced me during the Christmas season probably due to the fact that all of my siblings grew up in the 90s, but it is a great song and people of my generation need to understand it.  Am I bitter that One Direction never put out a Christmas album or song? Yes I am. So I will listen to NYSYNC’s instead to fill that boyband void.

  1. Grown Up Christmas List by Kelly Clarkson

This song also has personal memories attached with it, I sang a solo in this song for my elementary school’s Christmas program.  This song is so powerful and I love it.

Whatever songs get you in the Christmas spirit I bet they are on my giant playlist because I love every Christmas song ever.  Anyway please add some of these songs to your repertoire or simply listen to them again and feel that Christmas joy.
