Review of Kylie Cosmetics’ Halloween 2018 Collection

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

What is a holiday without a brand new Kylie Cosmetics Collection? For me, makeup has always been a fun way to experiment with different looks and products. I love how makeup makes me feel, especially when it is good quality. And, of course, I always look forward to brand new Kylie Cosmetics holiday collections! This October, makeup mogul, Kylie Jenner, dropped an impressive array of products for makeup lovers to go crazy for. In the spirit of spooky season, I bought her Halloween 2018 palette and her “Hello Ghordeous” glitter eyes.

As always, the palette’s packaging was impressive. It has a glam zombie face peeking out of the top, and is sleek, light, and compact. Moving on to the actual shades, I was very impressed. Each shade was very pigmented and fun to experiment with. In the spirit of Halloween, I had the most fun with the orange and beige shades. Kylie also included this amazing grey-glitter shade that I can definitely wear layered with other shades on a  daily basis. In the past, Jenner’s eyeshadow formula has felt a bit off for me, but this time she nailed it. Fun, easy to apply, and perfect pigment. Good job, Kylie!

Moving on to the glitter eyes, my expectations for the product were thoroughly exceeded. As one of my Halloween costumes is an alien, I saw ads for glittery eyes and was drawn in immediately. The product feels amazing on my lids and makes my eyes pop very nicely. Although the glitter eyes did not have as much glitter as I’d wish, the application was easy and I still felt great wearing it.

With Halloween just around the corner, it was fitting for me to splurge a bit and try Kylie Cosmetics’ new products. I would recommend all makeup and Halloween lovers to try it for themselves-you will not regret it!
