Trader Joes is known for their fun, fall-themed items that are only available this time of year. So, since it
is fall break, I decided to go try out as many pumpkin-flavored Trader Joe’s items I could find. Some were
amazing, but some I don’t think I will be buying again…

  1. Pumpkin Spiced Teeny Tiny Pretzels: While very tasty (and the perfect size for snacking),
these are neither pumpkiny nor very fall-esque. Instead, they taste more like vanilla flavored,
yogurt pretzels that happen to be sold in an orange, fall-themed package. If you can get past the
fact that they are lacking the pumpkin flavor, I think these are a good buy– a mix of sweet and
salty, and the crushed pumpkin seeds give a good texture too.
  2. Pumpkin Pancake and Waffle Mix: Overall, I really like this mix! I chose to go the waffle
route; however, the thick and fluffy consistency would also make great pancakes. The waffles
definitely gave me a “fall vibe” but not necessarily a “pumpkin vibe”. They were the perfect level
of sweetness and while I really enjoyed them as is, if you were looking for that extra pumpkin
flavor, I think a dash of cinnamon in the batter would be a great fix!
  3. Honey Roasted Pumpkin Ravioli: I really enjoyed this! I tried the ravioli with both a tomato
sauce and with a plain butter sauce. I would definitely suggest going with the butter sauce as the
tomato overpowers the pumpkin. I think this is a great fall find– they are colorful and have a
strong (but not too strong) pumpkin flavor which is surprisingly delicious with the pasta. The
pumpkin is sweet, but the butter sauce evens out the flavors. To top it off, this was so easy to
make– just two minutes in boiling water and you are ready to eat!
  4. Petite Pumpkin Spice Cookies: If you have a sweet tooth, you will love this cookie. While I
personally think the cookie would be better without the ultra-sweet yogurt coating, the pumpkin
spiced shortbread cookie makes up for it. The cookies are fun colors and really feel and look like

fall. You truly taste the pumpkin and spice in the cookie even with the strong yogurt coating
flavor, making for a great fall dessert!

  1. Pumpkin Spice Batons: As soon as you bite into this cookie wafer treat, you are surprised with a
really delish pumpkin cream. You still get the flavor of the wafer, which is nice because the two
different flavor pairs really well together. This would be a great addition to a warm cup of coffee
or tea on a nice fall afternoon.
  2. La Colombe Pumpkin Spice Latte: I poured the latte over a cup of ice and while I had high
hopes, I was really not impressed. I didn’t get any pumpkin flavor from the latte and honestly
didn’t get much of any flavor at all. It was bland, almost watery, and simply not a very fall-esque
drink! The coffee itself also tasted rather weak.
  3. Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread: I smeared this cream cheese on top of a cinnamon raisin bagel
and it gave all the fall vibes. The two flavors pair well together and make for a delicious snack.
The pumpkin flavor is not overwhelming, which I like. If you are looking for a more pumpkin
flavor though, I would suggest a plain bagel to really highlight the pumpkin spice!
  4. Pumpkin Cheesecake Croissants: Overall, these were not my favorite. While the croissant part
was delicious, I was not a fan of cheesecake and pumpkin combo. I think both on their own have
strong flavors and together they just don’t taste as good.
